Founding Pastors Daniel and Susan Shirley launched Word of Life Church in 1991 with a vision to let the whole world know that God is Madly in Love With You! Pastor Daniel and Susan have been married since 1978, have 2 children and 7 grandchildren.

Pastors Jason and Tiffany began at Word of Life as youth ministers in 2003. Pastor Jason graduated from Carlsbad High School and is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor Jason has served our community on the Carlsbad City Council as well as several boards and committees. Pastor Tiffany currently serves as President of the Carlsbad Municipal School Board. Tiffany also works at the Carlsbad Coalition advocating for safety and quality of life in our community. Jason and Tiffany are founders of Safe Escape, a non-profit organization providing adolecent services to at risk teens. Jason and Tiffany were married in 2002 and have 2 kids (Brooklyn and Connor).
